RockyMounts Roof Rack Review - 2016 Dodge Journey- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Dodge Journey, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the RockyMounts Roof Rack System, which consists of Ouray Crossbars and Flagstaff Towers; parts numbers: RKY3056 and RKY3002.This roof rack system is great for all of your roof-mounted accessories, which may include bike racks and kayak carriers.Crossbars are aerodynamic, cut down on wind, noise and drag. To remove the end cap and you want to add channel-mounted accessories, you just push down on the weatherstrip.Towers come with a rubber-coating to help prevent from scratches and abrasions when in contact with your vehicle. Now a lock cores can be added to prevent theft and tampering, and are sold separately.The weight capacity of these roof rack is 165 pounds. I do recommend you check your owner's manual to make sure your roof can withstand that amount of weight. It does have a limited lifetime warranty and is very easy to install.Now I'm going to show you how to install it. What you want to do is you want to take your tower, make sure the open end of your strap is facing out, then slide it into your crossbar. more

This is going to consist of the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbars, part number RRVA126B-2, the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series legs, part number RRRLKVA, and the fit kit for our roof rack system, part number DK298. Now keep in mind that our crossbars are also available in silver with part number RRVA126S-2.This roof rack system is a great solution for carrying your vehicle accessories on your roof, whether those are bike racks, ski and snowboard carriers, or cargo boxes. It's going to free up space inside your vehicle and allow you to carry more passenger side as well as cargo.The aerodynamic shape of our bars as well as the leather strip on the inside is going to help to reduce wind noise and drag. If we remove our end cap you can see our weather strip, which can be removed, cut down, and replaced with channel-mounted accessories. On our end cap we have a plastic lock core right now. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Dart we're doing a test fit of the Rhino-Rack roof rack kit. This is consisting of part numbers RRVA126B-2. It's going to be our Vortex Aero crossbars. For our legs we're using the 2500 series legs for Vortex crossbars, part number RRRLKVA. Then our custom fit kit for our Dodge Dart, we're using part number DK402. Everything you see here on our vehicle is what is included. more

This is going to be part number RKY3056 and RKY3002. 3056 is going to be your Crossbar, that Ouray Crossbar, which has a nice sleek look. Then your towers, which are going to sit on top of your factory Crossbars, which are going to be the Flagstaff towers, part number RKY3002. When you get your towers, it's going to come with the end caps, too, for your Crossbars. Real simple and easy to put together. more

Inno Roof Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Journey- Video
Today with our 2012 Dodge Journey, we're going to be doing a test fit of the inner roof rack system. As you can see, we've already got our front bar up here and in place on our vehicle. This is going to be part number INB127 for your crossbar, which is going to be that square bar. Then you're going to have your foot packs, which is going to be part number INFR. When you get your low bars, they're going to come with the two end-caps as well and your locking set with keys for the ends of your INFR foot pads. We'll go ahead and remove both the end-caps off here so we can expose the straps and linkage. Go ahead and loosen them up a little bit. more

Rola Roof Rack Review - 2012 Dodge Journey- Video
Today, on our 2012 Dodge Journey, we have our Rola Sports Series Roof Rack, part #59899. We already have our front one installed all the way forward. As you can see, it's as forward as it gets. Now we'll show you how to put the feet on and go ahead and put it on the vehicle. Here we have our foot, we'll just need to make sure our grooves are all lined up and go ahead and slide it on, and then put our end cap on. Now when we measure our distance, we want to measure from the center of our post to the center of our post, and we want to have about 27-31 inches between. Same on both sides, whatever your measurement is. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2008 Dodge Durango- Video
Today on our 2008 Dodge Durango, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Aeroblade roof rack system. It's going to be part number THARB53 and the foot pack which is going to be TH450R. As you can see up on our vehicle that we already have one on the back installed, so you can see what it'll like with those raised factory rails. We're going to show you how to place the other one on and get a proper crossbar spread for our items that we're going to be putting on. First thing we're going to do is flip it over, turn the end cap to where we can remove it. If you need to, you can also depress the little button here. Pull the end cap off and then you can slide the scale in since we won't need the scale for this application. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule AeroBlade Roof Rack System. As you can see, we've already got one of them up on our vehicle, so you can see what the front cross bar would look like. We're going to show you how to place on that rear cross bar, and how everything fits together. You're going to have your AeroBlade, which is going to be part number THARB60. Your foot pack or your pedestal, which is going to be part number TH480R, and then your fit kit, which is also going to have your mounting bracket, which is already up on the vehicle. We'll show you how that goes in, as well as the foot pad and the clip that mounts to the bracket. more

Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Dodge Journey TH450- Video
Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test fitting the Thule Crossroad Roof Rack System using part numbers THLB58 and TH450. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front bar onto the front part of our roof. We'll want to make sure that we have even bar overhang on each side of our vehicle. Then we'll find a fixed point on our side rail to measure back to the closest point on our foot pack. We'll do this measurement for both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other. Once we have that in place, we can then remove the included tool from the foot pack, bring our strap around the bar, fit it back into the foot pack, and tighten the Allen bolt with the included tool. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Dodge Dart- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Dart we'll be test fitting the Thule Square Bar Roof Rack System, part numbers thkit1667, th480, and thlb58. Now with our feet, fit kit and load bars already assembled according to the included instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing the front load bar onto the front of the vehicle. We'll need to measure from the front part of the glass to the first part of the foot on both the passenger and driver side of the vehicle to ensure that the load bar is perpendicular to the vehicle and the fit kit contours to the roof line correctly. After establishing this position, we'll use the included tensioning tools to tighten down the feet to secure the load bar to the vehicle. Note that you may want to tighten down each foot a little at a time so that one side of the load bar doesn't favor one side of the vehicle. We'll now place the load bar onto the rear of the vehicle and we'll need to measure the crossbar spread. more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2013 Dodge Journey, we'll be test fitting the Thule Aeroblade Roof Rack system. We'll be using the 53-inch Aeroblade bars part number THARB53 as well as the Rapid Crossroad feet part number TH450R. We've already got our roof rack assembled and we're ready to mount it up on top of our vehicle. Our Journey comes equipped with factory raised side rails so that's where we'll be mounting our roof rack to. We'll take the front bars assembly and set it up on top of our raised side rails. We need to ensure that our load bar is sitting perpendicular with our factory raised side rails and that the aarow that indicates the center line of the Crossroad foot is centered over our side rail. more

Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be fitting the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System using part numbers TH480, THLB58 and THKIT1043. With our roof rack preassembled to the directions found within the fit kit, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle.We'll begin by setting the front crossbar on top of the roof, we will take a measurement from the top of the windshield back on the roof 27-1/2". This will be the location of the leading edge of our front crossbar feet.With our front crossbar in the correct location, we'll go ahead and open the doors as the roof rack system does clamp to the door openings. After making sure that our clamps will clamp on to the door opening, we can go ahead and tighten them down using the included torque tool within each foot and with our front load bar secured, we're now ready to move on to the rear load bar.Again, we'll set on top of the roof this time our measurement will be from the center of the front crossbar to the center of the rear crossbar. This will make our crossbar spread 27-1/2" which is the ideal location as seated by Thule. With our rear crossbar located in the correct position, we can go ahead and torque it down using the same procedure as we did with our front load bar. more

Today on this 2012 Dodge Journey, we're going to do a test fit of a Thule Roof Rack System. We're using a Thule Crossroad Roof-Mounted Foot Pack part no. TH450 and a Thule Square Load Bars part no. THLB50. We're going to start off our crossfit with the roof rack already assembled so just got to place it onto the factory roof rack. Now placement on the roof rack will vary depending on the accessory that you're going to use on top. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Dodge Journey- Video
Alright, today on this 2012 Dodge Journey were going to install the Rhino Roof Rack, part number SXB4-SILV. Our vehicle is already equipped with the factory roof rack so were going to add our Rhino Rack to the top of that. Very simple to install and were going to start off with our Rhino Rack already reassembled according to the instruction, so we'll just place it on top of the factory roof rack. Ok, next well go ahead and make sure that the crossbar is square with the factory roof rack so we'll measure from the edge on the factory roof rack to the leading edge of the Rhino Rack. In this case were going to use a measurement of 10 inches. Ok, now well go ahead and move on to the second crossbar. more

Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Dodge Journey- Video
Today on our 2011 Dodge Journey, we will be test fitting the Thule Crossroads Roof Rack using the 50-inch crossbar, part number THLB50 and the Thule Crossroads Roof Mounted Foot Pack, part number TH450. Well begin by setting the front crossbar. Just set it on top of the roof rails. And using a tape measure, well take a measurement in order to make sure that the front bar is square with the roof. Each of the feet on the roof rack have an arrow indicating center. You want to make sure that the arrow on each of the feet is pointing directly down on the roof rail. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on this 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, we are going to be testing a Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System. Our Grand Caravan has factory side rails, so we are going to be using a system that will attach to these. We already have our crossbars put together, and now we are ready to mount them up on the vehicle. When we mount our front crossbar we need to make sure of 2 things. One that the crossbar is over hanging evenly on both sides of the vehicle and 2 that it runs perpendicular to our side rails. We will measure from a fixed point to a leading edge of the clamp on both sides of the vehicle to make sure the measurements the same so we know that we are perpendicular. more
